It symbolizes darkness vs light, good vs evil, peace vs war in its more drastic forms.

But the main focus on the whole picture is that both those polar opposites can co exist, and even attract each other.

Technically the picture is hand-drawn pretty much everywhere with my handy-dandy Wacom Intuos3! :D
